In the beginning of 2011 most of us bought the very hyped Zara heels. Some of us combined them with a bag made of colorful plastic, or one of the famous Cambridge Satchels, or the Zara leather sleeved coat. The Isabel Marant Dicker boot became a trend in February and so did the platform Prada’s. I just could’nt decide whether I was happy or not that the platform shoe was back.

Then Kanye West showed up at Coachella with a womens shirt from Celine, and it got plenty of attention from everybody in the fashion world. Some of you might have been there to witness it all, and maybe you had a pair of round sunglasses on?

As the spring came upon us, so did the pink shorts from Isabel Marant and the silver knit from H&M that were on everybodys lips. I think I would have combined the silver knit with palazzo pants and loafers. Would you?

In May leather shorts became hyped, and I did see some of you wearing it with the Isabel Marant fishnet top. Or did you go for the cut out Balenciagas instead? I did neither. What I did do, was to buy the Urban Decay Naked palette even though I hardly ever wear eyeshadow. I wish I could have hid behind the House of Harlow cat eye sunglasses instead.

Flats with studs on them became an instant go to, and I’ve seen many, many of you with a pair! Lucky you :) But I have to admit, I envied the people with the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers the most.

Am I the only one who combined a western looking belt with a black baseball cap? I think not. Once again the wild west inspired us, and most of us got metal tips on our collars, and big chunky platform sandals like the Celine ones.

We all needed to brighten up the fall and so, so many bloggers got the hot pink Zara knit, (I still regret not getting it!) and some of you paired it with the leather skirt from H&M with a split on the side and a shirt tucked halfway in.

Are you one of those who became broke buying the Row backpack? For $ 35000 you could probably get all the items in the Versace x H&M collection times what? Ten?
Then florals came upon us, and I SO,SO regret not getting the Zara shirt with flowers on it! Oh well, at least I got the Deborah Lippman nail polish for Christmas. Did you perhaps get the light pink H&M angora knit?

2011 was a very interesting year in fashion. I wonder what 2012 will bring us.
