Queen’s Day 2012

Yesterday was Queen’s Day here in Holland. A national holiday to celebrate the birthday of the Queen (or actually her mother’s, because the weather in April is usually nicer than January, her actual birthday). In case you didn’t notice Holland’s national color is orange which means everyone dresses up in orange on Queen’s Day.

This video shows our party boat through the canals of Amsterdam, which is probably the coolest way to experience Queen’s Day in Holland. A big thanks to my good friend Christine for arranging the boat!

Bruschetta!

Yesterday we made bruschetta as a little snack. I never made it before, but it turned out so great, and it tasted so yummy! I think I had like 10 of them! Hahaha.
The recipe is quite simple, you just squeeze all moist from some tomatoes, cut them up into small pieces, add some garlic, herbs, salt and pepper, put it all together on a slice of toasted French bread: yum yum yum!

So make sure to follow the website on Twitter, Facebook or Bloglovin‘ so you don’t miss out! And don’t forget to like the video if you do of course! ;)
